  Bicknell, Utah — Vera Iretta Snow Taylor, age 69, died November 26, 2000 at her home in Bicknell, Utah. She passed away after a battle with the rare digenerative brain disease known as Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).
  She was born June 29, 1931 in Monticello, Utah, a daughter of Charles Snow Jr. and Ada Delilah King Snow. She was the youngest of nine children. Vera married Ross Duncan (Dunk) Taylor on August 6, 1949 in Teasdale, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti L.D.S. Temple on February 14, 1951. They are the parents of six children and one foster child.
  Vera was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was involved in many civic and church activities. She was the music mainstay in the Fremont Ward for many years. She served as Primary President, Relief Society President, taught and worked in all of the auxiliary organizations in the ward. She also served in the stake Primary and music callings. Vera was president of the Wayne Lady Riders, a Wayne County School Board member and worked as the Wayne School Board Clerk. She also was a member of the Bicknell Literary Club and Camp Thurber DUP and she was the assistant postmaster of the Bicknell Post Office for many years. Most of her life she taught piano lessons to countless young people having recitals every year. She took great pride in the accomplishments of her students. Vera was an excellent homemaker, wife, mother and a very special grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, her grandchildren and going places.
  Vera is survived by her husband, Dunk Taylor of Bicknell; children: DeRae and Robert Fillmore, William C. and Cherlyn Taylor, all of Fremont; Kerry M. and Barbara Lester Taylor of Salt Lake City; Delores and Gerald Jumper of Tracy, California; Riley D. and Joni Taylor of Bicknell; foster son: Julius Chavez of Many Farms, Arizona; brother, Emery Snow of Rose Park, Utah; sisters: Fern Peterson of Monticello and Elma Hansen of Pleasant Grove. She is grandmother to 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Camille Taylor and a great-grandson, Christian J. Moosman.
  Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2000 at 1 p.m. in the Thurber L.D.S. Ward Chapel in Bicknell. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 No. 400 W. in Richfield, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Bicknell, Friday from 11-12:30 prior to the services. Buriel will be in the Fremont Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
