Judge Hazen Grants a Divorce to Unhappy Pair
Emery J. Zirkle was divorced from his wife Sallie yesterday by order of the court. Mrs. Zirkle had made the application but Judge Hazen saw fit to word his decree the other way.
The judge declared that neither party had made a very strong showing, yet he believed a divorce ought to be granted. "The great question," he explained, "is which party should get it."
He settled the matter by granting a divorce to Emery, and giving the custody of their child to the wiffe (sic). He also allowed the latter $225 alimony and ordered the defendant to pay $5 monthly for the support of the child.
