Miss Ida Johnson and Melvin P. Welch, were married Sunday evening, May 11 (second number is fuzzy) at the Presbyterian Manse in Glencoe, Rev. Gulson officiating. The groom is the oldest son of John Welch of Menoken, and the bride is a daughter of Mrs. Edward Allensworth.

IDA DOAN RITES SET WEDNESDAY
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday for Mrs. Ida Doan, 43, 419 Seventeenth St., who died in a Bismarck hospital at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Rev. Alvin Zimmermann will officiate at the rites at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Boelter Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Earl Ode, Joseph Zahn, Clarence Westbrook, Richard Miller, Theodore Bender, and Andrew Mazigian, Jr. Burial will be made in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Doan was born June 24, 1913, in Petersburg, Va., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Johnson. She came to Burleigh County in 1925 with her mother and resided in the Glencoe community, receiving her education in Glencoe schools. She was married to John Doan in 1950. He preceded her in death in 1952. Mrs. Doan had been in failing health for the past year.
She is survived by a daughter of a former marriage, Mrs. Merlin Miller, Bismarck; one sister, Mrs. Lyle Harley, Great Falls, Mont.; a step-father, Chris Thorson, Moffit, and three grandchildren.
The Boelter funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
