Mrs. Cryer died in a local hospital Tuesday night after a brief illness.
She was born in Tyler County Nov.4, 1881 and had resided in Lufkin for 18 years.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband James Henry Cryer.
Survivors include two Sons, Elmer Cryer of Humble and Marvin Cryer of Corpus Christi; two Daughters Mrs. Alta Cryer and Mrs. Myrtel Gilcrease , both of Lufkin; three Brothers, Vines Segrest of Jasper, Luther Segrest of Homer, and Marvin Segrest of Lufkin; five sisters, Mrs. Ettie Byerly of Crystal City, Lorena Byerly of Dallas, Mittie Barge of Temple,Mae Barge and Rannie Massingill both of Lufkin; 23 Grandchildren, 50 Great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
