Services for Harriet Brown Cook, age 97, of Evanston will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Evanston LDS Stake building. She died October 16th in the Rennie Memorial Nursing Home of causes incident to age.
She was born November 21, 1879 , in Church Greesby, [Gresley] Derbyshire, England, to James and Mary Brown Hutchinson. She married William Cook January 16, 1899.
The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Feb. 11, 1971.
She was a member of the Mary Rebekah Lodge. She was active in the LDS Church.
She is survived by three sons and five daughters: Edwin and Arthur, both of Green River, Wyoming; Lawrence and Mrs. Elizabeth Gilmore, Mrs. Kate Williams, Mrs. Stella Pierce, all of Evanston, Mrs. Florence Goddard of Rock Springs, and Mrs. William (Ida) Lester of Riverton, Utah.
She is also survived by forty-seven grandchildren, one hundred and twenty-four great grandchildren, forty three great great grand children. She has 288 descendents.
Three children preceded her in death; two sons and one daughter.
Friends may call at the Crandall Funeral Chapel Thursday one hour prior to services.
Burial will be in the Evanston City Cemetery.
