Marie, informally known as one of the "Skut" girls, was a strong woman with great character. If you were lucky enough to have known Marie, you were blessed with her love, endless advice, favorite gardening tip or recipe. For those that have the pierogi recipe, keep that one close to your heart, not many do. She enjoyed knitting, crabbing, feeding the hummingbirds and her dog Kate. Most of all, she loved to talk on the phone or visit with her friends and family. Her door was always open.
Marie was survived by her two daughters, Louise Papineau and husband Tim, and Linda Tarnowski and husband Patrick Baxter, two grandchildren, Samantha Barbaro and husband Steven, and Allie Plack and fiancé Nathan Lafond; a great grandchild Claire Barbaro and numerous extended friends and family.
