Telemark fylke, Norway
|Death: ||Jan. 22, 1940|
Henry emigrated from Brevik, Norway in SEP 1906 to seek out new adventures and see what America had to offer. He worked on the east coast for a few years before heading to Oregon and ultimately, Seattle, Washington.
He served his new country as well, enlisting MAY 1918 and working as a mechanic/ship carpenter 22nd machine gun Battalion, than re-enlisting and serving out of 42nd Company, 166th Depot Brigade - working as a mechanic, honorably discharged and recommended for re-enlistment in JUL 1919. NOTE: his headstone is marked HANSON but he was HANSEN - the Army refuses to acknowledge this misspelling of his name, as that is how they enlisted him and he is buried in the Veterans area of the cemetery.
He met his to be wife, Margaret McClung and married 11 JUN 1921, having 3 children with her. His trade was building homes in the Ballard area. He died unexpectedly of a heart attack at the very young age of 50, just a few months short of his 51st.
