Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Dartigo Church of God with Rev. J. W. Blow officiating. Burial was in Iatt Cemetery near Verda under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mazie D. Oglesby, Colfax; three sons, John Allen Oglesby, Tyler, Texas; and Joseph Earl Oglesby and Huey Oscar Oglesby, both of Colfax; four daughters, Mrs. Leona Dubois and Mrs. Dora Hattaway, both of Colfax, La., Mrs. Betty Mae Lashley, Atlanta, La., and Mrs. Mary Joe Hosner, New Orleans; one half-brother, Henry Oglesby, Winnfield; five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle McManus, New Verda, Mrs. Leunia Poisso, Pineville, Mrs. Ethyl Lashley, Atlanta, Mrs. Eva Pervis, Verda, and Mrs. Alice Lincecum, Winnfield; and a number of grandchildren.
