Sarah was the daughter of Daniel Steffy and Ascenith Forbes. She married Paul Jugenheimer on Oct 30, 1879 in Wilton, Iowa. They were the parents of John, Nellie Astella, Grace, and Laura.

OBITUARY - June 24, 1928 - Davenport Democrat and Leader - Mrs Sarah L. Jugenheimer died on her 67th birthday, Friday at 5:50 p.m. at her home, 1305 College avenue. She had been ill two years.

Mrs. Jugenheirner, whose maiden name was Miss Sarah L. Steffy, was born in Wilton Junction, June 22, 1861. She was married to Paul Jugenheimer in Wilton Junction 49 years ago. The couple moved to Washington and came to Davenport in 1894, where the home has been made since. Mrs. Jugenheimer was a member of Royal Neighbors of America, Women of Mooseheart Legion, Maccabees, and the Degree of Pocahontas.

Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. L.R. Wareham, Mrs. W.C. Pumplin, and Mrs. Nellie Sackler, all of Davenport; eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

One son preceded her in death three years ago. The body was removed to the McGinnus and Sons funeral home, where funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. the Rev. L.M. Coffman of the First Presbyterian church officiating. Friends are invited to the funeral home.
