Lilla Marie Carr, 78, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal. She was born Jan. 20, 1929, to Norval Glenn and Okel Eva (Scott) Morlan in Protection. She married Willard Henry Carr Oct. 9, 1948, in Liberal. He died Dec. 10, 1980. She was a 1946 Liberal High School graduate and then received a degree from the Chillicothe Business College. She was a secretary and clerk from 1948 to 1959 at Rock Island Railroad and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Friendly Sunday School Class, the Campers and the Hikers Association, the Liberal Senior Center ceramics class and the Hobby Club. She enjoyed gardening, travelling, crocheting, embroidery and quilting. She is survived by four sons, Rodney Carr, Grand Junction, Colo., Dennis Carr and wife, Tammy, Liberal, Scott Carr and wife, Laurie, Liberal, and Trent Carr, Palm Springs, Calif.; one daughter, Charlette Evans and husband, Jeff, Davenport, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Tesh Carr, Dustin Carr, Jennifer Smith and husband, Travis, Justin Evans, Matthew Carr and wife, Adrienne, Bradley Carr and wife, Brittny and Megan Carr; and two great-grandchildren, Sean Carr and Evan Smith. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Willa Mae Reever.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bagwell presiding. Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.
