Kenneth was the youngest son born to Rollin Jason and Mary Alma [McDavid] Carpenter (who lived to be 100 years old).

My great-grandmother (known as Meme by us kiddies) never spoke about her tiny son to me. I am unaware if he didn't survive childbirth or if he passed later on his birthday.

Little Kenneth had an older brother, Edward DeWitt Carpenter, who is my grandfather. My grandfather went on to have two children of which one was named Kenneth, six grandchildren (of which one was also named Kenneth), twelve great-grandchildren, and an ever increasing number of second great-grandchildren.
