BORJON, Richard S.

Richard was born in Bakersfield, Calif. He grew up in Wasco, Calif. He joined the United States Marines in August of 1952. After serving in the Korean War he returned home and married his wife of 52 years Mary Perez Borjon. They moved to Palmdale, Calif. in 1955, where he was employed by Lockheed Aircraft. He worked as a Supervisor on the L-1011 and Skunk Works Projects. He coached Little League
Baseball and Pop Warner Youth Football. He retired on January 4, 1990. He enjoyed Golf and was a Marshal at the Lake Elizabeth Golf Course until his illness forced him to resigned. Richard is survived by his wife Mary Borjon, brothers; Frank Borjon, Joseph Borjon, Robert Borjon, Ruben Borjon and deceased brother Danny Borjon, sister; Linda Rodriguez, sons; Richard Borjon and Benjamin Borjon, daughters; Elizabeth Borjon Edgar and Frances Borjon Kennedy. He has 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Richard was a Pioneer of Palmdale. He will be missed by his family, friends and the community he helped establish. Viewing will be held from 3 to 6:30 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2007, at the Chapel of the Valley Mortuary 1755 East Ave R, Palmdale, Calif. Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday November 24, 2007, at Saint Elizabeth Mission, 13845 Johnson Hill Road, Lake Hughes, Calif. Graveside service will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery, 43121 70th St. West, Lancaster, Calif.
