She was a graduate of Whitman College Conservatory of Music in Walla Walla and obtained her public school music teacher certificate from the University of Idaho.
For seven years, she was housemother at the University of Idaho Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and she also ran an Idaho guest ranch during the summer for 25 years.
Surviving are daughters, Barbara Reeves of Gresham and Beverly Gandiaga of Castleford, Idaho; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
