Burial was in McKnight Cemetery under the direction of Wallace Thompson Funeral Home of Rusk.
Mrs Wade died Friday in Cherokee Medical Center following an extended illness.
A native of Nacogdoches County, she lived at Rusk for 42 years. She was member of the McKnight Congregational Methodist Church.
Mrs Wade was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Wade, in 1973 and her daughter , Violet Thornton, in 1976.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Pat Wade of Jacksonville; four daughters and sons-in-law, Inez and Fred Grimes of Alto, Betty and Coy Rogers of Normangee, Texas. Dorothy and Billy Cornelius of Rusk, and Helen and Maurice Haney of Lufkin; three sisters, Mae Whittaker of Lilbert, Ima Wallace of Nacogdoches, and Linnie B. Thomas of Sweeney, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
