Frederick Schmidt, was a Native of Germany, he arrived in the port of New York in the year 1859, and on the 4th day of October A.D. 1867, he became a Citizen of the United States of America. Honorable Justices of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Frederick Schmidt, residing on the Bluffton Road, near the county infirmary, died last night of dropsy, at the age of fifty-five years. He was born in Germany and had resided in this country twenty-six years. He leaves a widow and children, as follows: Charles and William Schmidt, Mrs. Klomp, Mrs. Schramm, Mrs. Krohn, Mrs. Bohne and Misses Helene "Lena", Minnie and Anna Schmidt.

In the original obiturary it has Mrs. Gramm for one of the children, I changed it, to Mrs. Schramm. This was his daughter.
He was married, to Johanna Katherine Friederika Wurms. They both are buried on plot #24 Schmidt-Klomp. Also buried there are son Charley Schmidt, daughters, Anna Schmidt, Helena Carver, Sophia Klomp her husband William and daughter Clara Klomp and Ruth Klomp. Also two babies in unmarked graves Clara and Edward Klomp.
(Ruth Klomp is the 1st wife of Clarence Klomp he is the son of Sophia (Schmidt) and William Klomp).

3.) Pauline Louise 1869 - 1931 married, William Krohn 1861 - 1938. They are buried next to his parents Henry and Luise Krohn. Same cemetery as Frederick and Johanna Schmidt walk straight toward the back of the cemetery and up the hill from the other graves.
4.) Mary "Mattie" Pauline 1871 - 1939 married, Henry Bohne 1859 - 1935. Both buried, Mendon Cemetery Mendon, Michigan. Cemetery on M-60.
5.) Charles J. "Charley" 1872 - 1918 married Martha A. Burnie 1869 - ? , unknown death date or her maiden name, this is her second marriage.
6.) William 1877 - ? , married Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Cordell Burgess 1880 - 8-4-??. Lived in Haggerstown, Ind.
7.) Helena C. "Lena" 1879 - 1941 married, Fred Heizelman. Then she married, Mr. Carver, Dundee, Michigan.
8.) Minnie 1882 - 1920 married, James Cron. They lived in Columbus, Ohio.
9.) Anna P. 1885 - 1943 she never married, slightly handicapped, never married, no children. Buried with her parents.
