The head of a leading logging equipment company and four other Canadians died in a plane crash in a forest near this Washington town, officials said. The plane was flying from Nanaimo, British Columbia, to Kelso on a business trip for S. Madill Co., company spokesman Steve Shaw said. Killed in the crash were company President Pat Madill, 42; his stepdaughter, Leanne Johnson, 19; her boyfriend, Ralph Pomphrey, 20; company pilot Bill Anderson, and his wife Marlene Anderson, all of the Nanaimo, British Columbia area in Canada. Hunters found the lone survivor - Madill's wife, 42-year-old Kathy Madill - walking in the woods Sunday morning.
