William P. Ackerley GILBOA _ William P. Ackerley, 87 years, of Gilboa passed away at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, on Jan. 5, 2004. He was born in Margaretville, on April 21, 1916, son of the late Preston and Bertha (Barkman) Ackerley. William was a dairy farmer and was a school-bus driver for many years for the Gilboa-Conesville Central School. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Surviving are his loving wife for 67 years, Marjorie (Faulkner) Ackerley; three daughters, Jackie Cotter and her husband, Kevin, of Johnstown, Iris Wood and her husband, Milton, of Breakabeen, and Joyce Stuver of Middleburgh; two sons, Douglas Ackerley and his wife, Betty, of Flatcreek, and Donald Ackerley and his wife, Barbara, of Hobart; also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Gary Ackerley; three brothers; and three sisters.
