FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MARK COOK WILL BE FRIDAY

Funeral services for Mark Nuttall Cook, 67, Ashley will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Naples LDS Ward Chapel.

Mr. Cook died at the Uintah County Hospital at 10:05 a,m. Monday of a heart ailment. He was born April 4, 1887, in Wallsburg, a son of John and Martha Nuttal Cook.

He came to Vernal in 1891 at the age of three with his family. He spent his early life herding sheep and later purchased a farm in Glines. He servces an LDS Mission to West Virginia.

He married Amy Remington June 20, 1913, in the Salt Lake Temple. She died November 11, 1918. He then married Ada Rasmussen, who died on May 18, 1948 and married Gladys Goodrich on June 19, 1950, he married Della Chivers.

Mr. Cook and his second wife Ada served a short term LDS Mission in the Central States and he later served a stake mission. He served as president of the Mutual Improvement Association at Naples for several years and was also a Sunday School teacher. At the time of his death he was a High Priest.

Survivors include the widow, a son, Morris R., Naples; a daughter, Mrs. Leah Lamoreaux, Vernal; two foster daughters, Miss Dianna Rae Chivers, Vernal and Mrs. Reva V. Long, Bonanza; 10 grandchildren. seven brothers, John, Roosevelt; William, Salt Lake City; George, Hiawatha, Carbon County and Robert, Harold, Leonard and Rulon, all of Vernal and one sister, LaPreal, Lybbert, Moses Lake, Washington.

Friends may call at the Vernal Mortuary Thursday evening and at the home of Mrs. Lamoreaux Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mark Nuttal Cook, 67, died at 10:05 p.m. on November 15, 1954 in the Uintah County Hospital, Vernal Uintah County, Utah of cardiovascular renal disease, which he had been suffering with for one year.

He was born April 4, 1887 in Wallsburg, Wasatch County, Utah to John Cook and Martha Agnes Nuttall. He married Amy Amanda Remington on June 24, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She died in November 13,1918. They were only married for about four years. He also married Ada May Rasmussen, Gladys Goodrich on June 19, 1950 and Della Chivers Robbins. Surviving him was his wife Della Chivers Robbins Cook having been pedeceased by his other three wives.

Interment was made in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery, Vernal, Utah on November 19, 1954. Vernal Mortuary handled the funeral arrangements.
