Dr. Bradford was born in Polytechnic, TX to Henry and Thomazine Bradford. He was valedictorian of high school class, attended Texas Christian University and entered the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, graduating in 1943. It was in Louisville where he met Evelyn Grahman. They were married on Aug 21, 1943, at Polytechnic Methodist Church in Fort Worth, TX. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

After the war, Harold and Evenlyn settled in Elizabethtown, KY. He opened his dental office in February 1947 and practiced dentistry there for more than 50 years. He was a member of the American Dental Association, served on the Kentucky State Board of Dental Examiners for many years and was a board member of the UofL School of Dentistry Alumni Association. He recieved both the Alumni Service Award and the Distingusihed Alumni Award. He was a member of the Comrade Sunday School Class of Memorial United Methodist Church, the Elizabethtown Lions Club and the Hardin County Historical Society. He was treasurer of the Lincoln Trail Area Health District and supported Greenspace.

Dr. Bradford was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Evelyn Frances Bradford and his brother Alden Bradford.

He is survived by a daughter, Ellen Bradford Lea (John) of Nashville, TN; a son, Dr. William B. Bradford of Tullahoma, TN; and four grandchildren, William Bradford Lea, Graham Reddie Lea, Ann Merrill Bradford and Madison Ellen Bradford.

Dr. Rachel Marshall will officate the funeral.
