CARROLLTON NOTES
Commencement Exercises --- Funeral of Mrs. Priscilla Gaines.
Carrollton, Ky., April 21 --- The commencement exercises of the Carrollton High School will be held on the evening of May 21. The following are the graduates: Misses Ella Mundy Ramsey, Helen Garriot, Allie Wood and Grace Kipping.
The funeral of Mrs. Priscilla Gaines will be held at the Ghent Christian Church at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, the Rev. W. J. Love, of Mayslick, conducting the services.
Mrs. Gaines died Tuesday, but her body will be kept three days in accordance with her request.

Woman Dies at Carrollton
Mrs. Priscilla Gaines Succumbs to the Infirmities of Age.
Carrollton, Ky., April 20 --- Mrs. Priscilla Gaines, eighty-three years old, widow of Dr. F. H. Gains, for many years a physician of this section of Kentucky, died of infirmities of age at 7:45 o'clock this morning. Her first husband was John Fisher, of Louisville, for years one of the wealthiest merchants of the Kentucky metropolis. He died in the '70s. Later she married Dr. Gaines and removed to Carrollton. Sherman G. Gaines, of the Union National Bank, Louisville, is a stepson. Mrs. Joseph Wigginton, of Louisville, her sister, is the only surviving relative. For many years she was a member of the First Christian church, Louisville, and later of the Christian Church here.
