Funeral of James W. Hammond.
Funeral services for James W. Hammond were conducted yesterday afternoon at his late residence, 13 Cedar street, Rosemont, by the Rev. E. T. Kirkley, pastor of the Methodist Protestant Church, assisted by the Rev. Dr. J. W. Duffey, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, Members of R. E. Lee Camp, United Confederate Veterans, of which the deceased was lieutenant commander, attended in uniform. Burial was in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were G. William Ramsay, Capt. Fountain Beattle, Benton Chinn and Booker C. Hall, of Lee Camp, and C. E. Williams and W. H. Yost, of Washington.
