3/3/1914 New Castle News, New Castle, PA - J.H. Bashline. J.H. Bashline left Saturday for Sligo, Clarion County, where he was called by the death of his brother, David G. Bashline. His death was caused by cancer of the stomach, from which he had been suffering for the past seven months. Mr. Bashline was in this city in November, visiting his brother, Joseph, and while here, became much worse, and gradually grew weaker until the end came Friday evening. He was an active member of the Sligo M.E. church, a devoted husband and loving father, and was highly respected by his scored of friends. He is survived by his wife, five sons, and five daughters, also by his father, five brothers, and one sister. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Daughters: Lottie McCall, Gertrude Rimer, Bernice Peters Krotzer and Viola Eaton
