Cemetery Chapel in Danville for Ralph A. Richards, 80, of Zephyr Hills, Fla.
He died Thursday (Feb. 28, 1985) at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fort Lyons, Colo. after having been a patient about two months.
Richards was visiting a niece in Fort Lyons when he became ill and was hospitalized.
Chaplain Jack Frost will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville, with military rites by Curtis G. Redden American Legion Post 210 of Danville. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Barrick & Son
Funeral Home in Danville, with Masonic services there at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
Richards attended the Presbyterian Church in Florida. He was a member of Metropolitan Craft Masonic Lodge 519 in Southfield, Mich. A World War II Navy veteran, he was a past commander of American Legion Post in Zephyr Hills and
National Chaplain of Navy Seabees Veterans Organization.
Born Oct. 26, 1904, in Elmwood, Ill., he was the son of Alonzo and Mary Rodway Richards. He married Bess Cook of Danville, who preceded him in death in September 1957.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, insluding Gloria McMasters of Fort Lyons and Mrs. Floy (Ada) White of Danville.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
