Arlene Johnson, 73, a thirty-seven year resident of California City died on October 15 after a long illness.
Arlene was born on March 16, 1934 in Sisseton, South Dakota to Albert and Mabel Johnson.
Arlene graduated from New Effington High School in 1953 and joined the Air Force. In 1955, she married Leonard "Swede" Johnson. Arlene was a member of American Legion Post 476.
Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and six siblings. Arlene is survived by her four children, Debbie Scheuring of Stockton, CA, Craig Johnson of Dayton, Nevada, Kent Johnson of California City, CA, Kim Robertson of Bozeman, Montana, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, brother Glen "Buddy" Johnson of New Effington, South Dakota, sisters Joyce Burby of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Ruby Monay of Redding, California.
Private Family Services were held at California City cemetery on October 19.
