Burnadene D. Deem, 81, of Parkersburg passed away Oct. 2, 2005, at her home.
She was born Aug. 25, 1924, in Doddridge County, a daughter of the late Archie and Pearl Richards Haynes. Burnadene was of the Methodist faith and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crochet, knitting and collecting dolls.
Surviving are three sons, J. Andy Deem Jr. of Parkersburg, Michael "Mike" Deem and his wife, Marsha, of Washington, W.Va., and Roger Deem and his wife, Tina, of Parkersburg; five daughters, Dorothy Still of Kentucky, Carolyn Bennett of Parkersburg, Debbie Harr and her husband, Jody, of Titusville, Fla., and Kathleen Jackson and her husband, Ron, and Marlene Deem, all of Akron, Ohio; 26 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one brother, Wallace Haynes of Syracuse, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Andy Deem in 2003; a son, Earl Lee Deem; an infant daughter, Betty Jean Deem; twin great-grandsons, Charles and Tommy Still; two brothers, Walter and Willard Haynes; and three sisters, Glada Humphrey, Garnet Hathaway and Audrey Haynes.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg, with the Rev. James Burdette officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
