Leslie Joy Brooks Osborne was a life long resident of Sparta and was the Director of Nursing, at the Sparta Health Care Center. She was a graduate of John Hancock Academy and Georgia College & State University where she received her B.S degree in Nursing. Leslie was a member Sparta Baptist Church and taught Sunday School. She was preceded in death by her grandfather L.R. "Byrd" Brooks.
Survivors include her husband Clint Osborne, her daughter Allie Joy Osborne, her parents Tommy and Wanda Brooks all of Sparta, her father and mother-in-law Randy and Lynda Thigpen of Milledgeville; brother Richard Boyer (Jill) of Eatonton; grandparents; John and Joy Hill of Sparta and Mary Brooks of Thomson.
Services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday at Sparta Baptist Church, with Rev. Alan McCoy and Rev. Jerry Bradley officiating.
