Charles Richard Kinison, 60 of Springfield, died at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at his residence. Charles was born October 25, 1943 in Mt. Vernon, IL, the son of Raymond and Leota Margaret Weatherford Kinison.

Mr. Kinison was a 1961 graduate from Herrin High School and attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He had been employed by the State Journal Register in data processing from 1965 1971 and more recently served as a Senior Program Analyst for HTE. He also had various other jobs in different communities. He was a former member of Elks Lodge # 158. He enjoyed motorcycling, golfing and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother: Raymond Paul Kinison.

He is survived by three sons; several grandchildren; Mother: Leota Kinison of Springfield, one brother: Donnie Eugene Kinison; one niece, two nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cremation will be accorded by Cremation Tribute Center following visitation. Graveside services at Oak Hill Cemetery on Saturday, June 19, 2004, with Clint Cook officiating.
