Emilie Reiswig nee Dehn, daughter of Ferdenand and Henrietta Dehn was born in Germany on March 29, 1866. She was baptized
into the Christian faith in the Lutheran church during her early childhood.
She came to America in 1883 with her father, sister and brother-in-law arriving on April 18. The family settled at Hillsboro, Kans.
There she united in marriage with Mr Daniel Reiswig. The family moved to the Hooker community in 1907.
She attended the Lutheran church in Optima and when St John's Lutheran congregation in Hooker organized she became a member
of it. She remains a faithfull member of the Lutheran church until her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, by her oldest son, Fred and by two daughter, Meta and Laura.
She passed from this life at Hutchinson, Kans, at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 23 days.
