Birth: Nov. 16, 1893
Death: Aug. 24, 1975

FRANKLIN, Clyde of Rockdale. Age 81. Died 8/24/1975 (Sunday) in Richards Memorial Hospital, Rockdale. Graveside services held (Tuesday) at Milano City Cemetery. Phillips & Luckey in charge of arrangements.

He was BORN 11/16/1893 and lived in Milam Co. most of his life and in Rockdale much of that time. He retired as Postmaster of Rockdale 11/30/1963. Graduate of Tulia High School. Veteran of WW-1. Served all capacities of VFW, American Legion, Chamber of Commerce, Lion's Club and Rotary club. Member of St.John United Methodist Church. Son of the late M/M. John Franklin, who were former residents of Thorndale.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Mrs. Elonia Franklin of Rockdale; son, Clyde Clayton Franklin of Houston; brother, Keen Franklin of Rockdale; sisters, Mrs. L.E. Gary of Rockdale, Mrs. Blanche Horton of Pasadena.

clyde was the sonof my grandma brother so i am 2nd cus to him i never knew him but wished i had i would thank him for his service as well as many of my cuz and family have served may he rest in peace
