Patricia L. Pender-Popple, 76, of Heritage Manor, formerly of Coventry Park, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at Heritage Manor.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Columbkille's Catholic Church, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Dec. 9, 1930, in Winnebago, Minn., daughter of Ulysses "Cap" and Marie G. Lewis. Patricia graduated from the former St. Clara Academy, Sinsinawa, Wis.
She married William Pender on April 26, 1959; he preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1988. She then married Robert Popple on Oct. 30, 1992.
After she raised her family she worked at Dubuque Bank and Trust Co., retiring in 1993.
She was a member of St. Columbkille parish, their Rosary Society, American Council of Catholic Women, and was very active in the Mercy Hospital Service Club.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Popple, of Dubuque; two daughters, Patricia Pender, of Princeton, Iowa, and Nancy P. (Daniel) Breitbach, of East Dubuque, Ill.; a son, William L. (Doreen) Pender, of Blue Grass, Iowa; three grandchildren, Matthew John Breitbach, Jacob William Breitbach and Grace Marie Pender; a step-granddaughter, Stefani Nicole Williams; and a sister, Mary Susan Lewis, of Dubuque.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Nancy Cozad.
