The Star-Mirror, Moscow, Idaho, February 12, 1914: "Awaiting the arrival of two sons of the deceased, the funeral of Nels E. Berglund, a prominent Latah county farmer who died Friday, will not be held until Thursday afternoon next. Short services will be held at 1 o'clock from the home of J.L. Carlson, south of the university and regular services will be held at the Swedish Lutheran church at 2 o'clock. The deceased is survived by a widow and five children who are: Mrs. Charles E. Carlson, Mrs. J.J. Carlson and Albin Berglund, all of Moscow, and Carl Berglund and Oscar Berglund of Centerville, S.D. The two latter are now on their way to Moscow to attend the funeral."
