PARCEL SHOWER SUNDAY FOR MYRTLE ABRAHAM
One hundred neighbors and friends met at the Herman Abraham home Sunday to give a parcel shower in honor of Miss Myrtle Abraham, who is soon to be a bride. Miss Abraham was the recipient of many usefule and beautiful gifts. Wheaton Gazette

Miss Myrtle Abraham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Abraham, who live south of Wheaton, and Otto Hormann were united in marriage at noon Tuesday when they were married at the St. John's Lutheran parsonage. the Rev. Theo. A.C. Heine officiated. They were attended by Miss Myrtle Drinkwitz, cousin of the bride, and Henry Hormann, brother of the groom.
Immediately after the cermony the young couple left for Morris. Upon their return, they will make their home on the farm owned by the groom's mother, Mrs. Katie Hormonn. They have many friends who extend congratulations and best wishes. Wheaton Gazette.
RITES FOR MRS. OTTO HORMANN ARE HELD HERE
Funeral services for Mrs. Otto Hormann were held at St. John's Lutheran Church Nov. 14 with the Rev. A.A. Diercks officiating. A private service for the family was held at the Anderson Chapel during the morning. Mrs. Donald Grohn, organist accompanied the choir for the hymns, 'Beyond the Sunset', 'For Me to Live is Jesus', and 'What a Friend we have in Jesus'. Pallbearers were Arnold Marxen, Norman Delgarno, Walter Norenberg, Floyd Gould, Carl Leininger, and Ed Issendorf. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery. Vicar Kenneth Putt prayed at the cemetery. Arrangements were with Anderson Funeral Home.
Myrtle died at St. Francis hospital, Breckenridge, Nov 10, following several months illness. She underwent surgery in February from which she did not completely recover.
She was born to Herman and Elizabeth Abraham April 12, 1910. She attended District 24 and school in Wheaton. She lived on a farm in Windsor Twp. until her marriage to Otto Hormann Oct 15, 1929 at St. John's parsonage, Wheaton. She has since lived on a farm southwest of Wheaton.
She was a lifetime member of St. John's church, a member of the Ladies Aide, a leader of Martha's Circle at the time of her death and served on numberless committees. She was also a member of the Walls Birthday club and her homemakers club. She served as a 4H leader for years. Helping others and cake decorating were her hobbies.
Surviving in addition to her husband are eight children: Mrs. Ronald Hervey [Ila Mae], Mrs. Kenneth Wenker [Lois], Roy, all of rural Wheaton, Dale, Rita, Avis & Ione, at home, and Jane who works in Minneapolis; seven grandchildren, Her mother, Mrs. Herman Abraham; sister, Mrs. Herb McElwain; brothers, Ed, Max and Ernest, Wheaton, Arthur, Dent; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He father preceded her in death by 12 days; one grand daughter also preceded her in death.
