William married Sarah Nancy Kale 7 Mar 1803 in Lincoln County, North Carolina, and the couple had 10 children; Rheuia, Corbin, Logan, Nancy, Elmira, Elizabeth, Anderson, Hiram, William and Andrew. Along with his brother, Isaac, the pioneer families migrated to Orange County, Indiana in 1816 which became Lawrence County after they set up their households.
William was Lawrence County Justice of Peace in 1834 and 1835 and was one of the original 100 stockholders of the First Bank in Lawrence County. He was County Commissioner in 1836 and was one of the first members of the Fish family to be buried at the Fish Cemetery. Our family has provided a report, saying that he married again, Nancy Hamer, 14 Feb 1837.
His descendants owe a great deal to Jill Shattuck Stafford for her tireless efforts in transcribing headstones for online posting. We would also like to thank Kate Bourland for her assistance in compiling the above information.
