Annie Curliss, 61, of Hartshorne, died Wednesday at McAlester Regional Hospital. Mrs. Curliss was born Aug. 14, 1924 in Hartshorne. Prior to returning to Hartshorne two years ago, she lived in California for three decades. She married Leonard Curliss on Feb. 21, 1943 at Wilburton. He survives her. Other survivors include two sons, Dale Curliss and Terry Curliss, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; five daughters, Kay Earnshaw, Judy Farley, Johnnie Rose Rocksholt, Sherry Daubenspeck and Melanie Green, all of Bakersfield; 19 grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Linney of McAlester and Jerry Linney of Hartshorne; three sisters, Sue Bell of Hennessey, Marolyn Fazekas of Wilburton and Carolyn Bruton of Hartshorne; her father, George Linney of Hartshorne and a mother in law, Leona Curliss of Hartshorne. Mrs. Curliss was preceded in death by her mother, Belma Linney; a grandmother, Letha McMullen Linney and a granddaughter, Kimmy Ann Shoemaker. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Mills Funeral Chapel, Hartshorne, with Rev. Gloria Criswell officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood cemetery under the direction of Mills Funeral Home, Hartshorne.
