Mary Winifred Golding, age 80, of Heber Springs, formerly of Muskogee, Okla., passed away September 17, 2007 at Baptist Health in Little Rock after a long battle with leukemia. She was born June 12, 1927, the daughter of the late Esther W. McConnell and Walter (Earl) Coombs.

She married Richard Theodore Golding April 27, 1944. She later earned a Master's Degree in Psychology and worked for the Muskogee County Health Department Guidance Center in Muskogee, Okla. until her retirement. She was a member of the Jaycettes of Muskogee, Okla. and an active member of the Cleburne County NARFE Chapter 1156 of Heber Springs.


Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a child, Terry Ann Golding; a brother, Leo Coombs; a sister, Gladys Mae Rogers; a grandchild, John Golding.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Theodore Golding of Heber Springs: two sons, Walter Richard Golding and wife, Jodie, of Riverview, Fla. and Robert Theodore Golding of Muskogee, Okla.: two daughters, Kathleen Ann Golding of Heber Springs and "Margie" Mary Margaret Franklin and husband, Tony, of Heber Springs; seven grandchildren, Tammy Spencer, Andrew Golding, Rachel Golding, Jennifer Barger, Melissa Poore, Krystal Ashwood and Tyler Golding; 11 great- grandchildren. Aidan and Cameron Srisupa; Keryia, A.J. and Katelin Spencer; Mia, Taylor, Leia Ashwood; Kyler Golding, Hunter and Hailey Poore and many friends.
