Beloved mother and grandmother passes away at age 100
Adelaide R. Watts, 100, Logansport, died at 6:19 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007, in Woodbridge Health Campus.
Born December 20, 1906, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Arthur W. and Blanche Tam.
On June 29, 1939, in the Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church, she was married to Harry R. "Bud" Watts. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2005.
A homemaker, Adelaide was a dedicated member of the Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church. She was a member of the former Fidelity Chapter No. 58 Order of Eastern Star. She also belonged to the Associate 3rd Mother's Study Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Tamera Lynn VanSpriell, of Superior, Colorado, and Sandra Lucille Jonas, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; and three grandsons, Jeffery Lee VanSpriell, Bradley Charles VanSpriell, and Jon Lawrence VanSpriell; and five great-grandchildren.
One brother, Donald R. Tam, preceded her in death.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18th, in Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church, with Rev. Scott Ellison officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17th in Fisher Funeral Chapel where an Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
