Mrs. Fred Shellenberger died at her home north of Bushong, Kansas, at 8:30 o'clock, following a long illness
Flossie Harriet Lineker, oldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lineker, was born on a farm on 42nd Creek, near Allen, Kansas, November 23, 1887. The family spent practically all their life in Lyon County Kansas with the exception of three years, 1906 to 1909, when they lived in Grove County Kansas.
Miss Flossie Lineker was united in marriage to Fred Shellenberger at the Lineker home, southeast of Admire, Kansas, February 22, 1914. She came to her present home north of Bushong, Kansas, as a bride, residing there until her death.
She united with the Mehodist church at Bushong, Kansas, in her girlhood.
Mrs. Shellenberger is survived by her husband of the home, two daughters, one son, one grandson, and one brother. They are Mrs. Jack Adams, of Council Grove, Kansas; Mis Lois Shellenberger, senior in Emporia Teachers College, Emporia, Kansas; Pvt. Glenn E. Shellenberger, Niagara Falls, New York; Dannie Adams of Council Grove, Kansas, and Dewey Lineker, of Orville, California.
Her words of cheer and sunny disposition endeared her to many friends. To know her was to love her.
Funeral seervices will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Bushong Methodist Church. Rev. Mrs. Charles Young, Americus, Kansas, will have charge, assisted by Rev. Francis Buck, pastor of the Bushong Church.
Pallbearers -- Joe Johnson, Arthur Eckel, Lewis Davis, Ray Gist, Ferd Thompson and Roscoe Moore. Burial in the Agnes City Cemetery, north of Bushong, Kansas.
