Richard M. Desormeau, 20, of 22664 Lewis St., was pronounced dead Sunday in the town of Clifton. An autopsy conducted by the Saratoga County medical examiner determined the cause of death to be acute pulmonary edema and it was ruled an accidental death. Police found Mr. Desormeau in his vehicle earlier in the day.

He was employed by T.J. Paving of Watertown and previously was an auto detailer at Davidson's Chevrolet for two years.

Born June 20, 1985, in Watertown, son of Richard M. Garbutt, Black River, and Kathern Desormeau, he attended Watertown High School and received a general equivalency diploma.

Surviving besides his father, Black River, and his mother, Watertown, are his stepfather of 20 years, Mark Montondo, Watertown; a brother, Shawn M. Desormeau, Watertown; a sister, Trina Marie Desormeau, Watertown; two stepbrothers, Joel R. and Christopher R. Garbutt, both of Watertown; a stepsister, Adrienne R. Garbutt, Watertown, three nephews, a niece and several aunts and uncles.

Burial in North Watertown Cemetery.
