"ABRAHAM, Lorise, of Dade City, Fla., passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007. Lorise was born July 7, 1928, in Lacoochee, Fla., and moved to Dade City in March of 1954. Since 1945, Lorise has been a devout member of St. Rita' s Catholic Church in Dade City, Fla. Although she graduated from Pasco High School in 1946, she always remained a Lacoochee girl at heart. Co-owning Zip Fuel Company for more than 50 years, Lorise' s gift of gab and unique perspective on life touched the hearts of both young and old, human and canine, alike. During her younger years, she was an avid traveler and continued to love the Arts well into her retirement. Lorise was predeceased by her parents, Elias and Esther Abraham; brother, Lewis; nephew, Bobby; niece, Laura Lee; cousin, Tommy Abraham; and three beloved pets, Ashes, Bonnie and Clyde. She is survived by her pet poodle, Baby Love Abraham; sister-in-law, Mildred Abraham; niece, Lisa (Kip) Rodenberry; nephew, Tony (Pam) Abraham; great-nephews, Bo and David Rodenberry, Chad Abraham, Kye (Jodi) Abraham and Joey Hart; great-nieces, Andria Abraham, Kristen Rodenberry and Ariel Hart; great-great-nephews, Chad and Aaron Abraham, and Andrew Hart; beloved relatives and friends; CD (Bill) Shanahan, Dawn Abraham, Jeanette Merritt and Raleigh Joe (Rita), Elvis (Tammy), and Tina Goddard, Tommy (Becky) and Louis (Debra) Panebianco, Selma and Al Tackla, Evelyn Deeb, Rose and John Mellis of Cleveland, Ohio, Helen and Bob Slager of Lafayette, Ind.; Otto and Elaine Weitzenkorn, Joan Weitzenkorn Wadler. A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2007, at Hodges Funeral Home in Dade City, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2007, at St. Rita' s Catholic Church, with Father Edwin officiating. Burial will follow the Mass at Floral Memory Gardens in Dade City. Donations can be made to the Lewis Abraham Boys and Girls Club of Lacoochee, Fla., or Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
