Richard P. "Dick" Salmon, 72, of 612 N. First St., a lifelong resident of Springfield, died at 5 a.m., June 4, 1948, at St. John's hospital where he was admitted May 20 as a medical patient.
Mr. Salmon was born in Springfield, Oct. 25, 1876.
He was a member of the Painters union, local 90.
His death followed a lengthy illness.
Surviving are one sister, Miss Mary Salmon; a cousin, Mrs. Nellie Adams, with whom he resided; and four nieces.
Funeral services were held at the St. Joseph's church.
Burial was in Calvary cemetery.
