Welda Henderson Brown, 86, of Denton, a retired employee of the University of North Texas Book Bindery, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at All Saints Episcopal Hospital in Fort Worth.
She was born July 12, 1916,in Fort Worth to Edward and Addie Thompson. On March 26, 1939, she married Will O. Henderson in Marietta, Okla. He died in November 1962. On May 17, 1979, she married Emmett Brown in Denton. He died in June 1990.
She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, at Highland Baptist Church. The Rev. Eddie Schafer will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 7, at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton.
Memorials may be made to the Highland Baptist Church Building Fund, 600 Thomas St., Denton, TX 76201.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara McGuffin of Fort Worth; two sons, George Ed Henderson of Krum and John Fred Henderson of Argyle; three stepsons, Jack Brown of Justin, Dale Brown of Denton and Don Brown of Austin; one sister, Ethel Galbreath of Joshua; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
