"The children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends of Henry Berg of Central Bridge gathered with him as guest of honor at Rustic Rest picnic grounds, Labor Day for a gala day and visit. A very delicious lunch was served, after which games and sports were enjoyed by old and young. Mr. Berg is ninety-seven years old, a veteran of the Civil war, and is in very good health He enjoyed the games and fun his children provided for him. We all hope he may reach the century mark, and may we meet him again, in the same place, the same old crowd on Labor Day, 1931. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. W. Clapper, Fred Berg, William Johnson and Miss Mildred Johnson of Suffield, Conn.; Mrs. Charles Vroman and children of Schenectady, Henry Berg, George, Abe and Dick of Central Bridge, Mrs. Jack Kane and children, Mrs. Martha Jones and Teddy, Mrs. Grace Berg and children, Frank Vroman, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ray and family, Mrs. Margaret Kane and daughter, Ann."
