CLEVELAND, JR., MACK N. 86, of Longwood, FL, a Sanford native and well known attorney died of Parkinson's Disease on Sunday, Oct. 17. Mack was born in Sanford, FL on July 9, 1924. Mack was predeceased by his mother Lois Shiflet Cleveland and his father Mack N. Cleveland, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 25+ years, Mary Anne Cleveland and three stepchildren: Darvin Boothe, Jr. and his wife Chantelle of Tampa, Rebekah Boothe Corley and her husband Cliff of Sanford, Robert Boothe and his wife Mary of Orlando, and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Cleveland McCoy and husband Mike of DeBary, brother-in-law
Lovett E. Williams, Cedar Key and Thomas Williams and his wife Joyce of Tallahassee, along with numerous nieces and nephews.MACK N. CLEVELAND, JR of Longwood, FL died of Parkinson's Disease. He graduated from Seminole High, attended the University of Florida before joining the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and was commissioned in the US Air Force Reserves during the Korean Conflict. He earned a BS/BA from Stetson and JD from Stetson College of Law and was a member of the Florida Bar Association for 56 years before retiring. He was admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court, was Trustee Emeritus and General Counsel Emeritus Stetson University, Board of Overseers Stetson College of Law, Sanford Bahia Shrine Club, 60-year member of the Masonic Order, Sanford Scottish York Rite Bodies, Elks Club and American Legion Post 53. He was a 50-year member of the First Baptist Church of Sanford and a current member of the Longwood Hills Congregational Church. Mack was predeceased by his parents, Mack N. Sr. and Lois Shiflet Cleveland. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; step-children, Darvin (Chantelle) Boothe, Jr. of Tampa, Rebekah (Cliff) Corley of Sanford, Robert (Mary) Boothe of Orlando and five grandchildren; sister, Mary C (Mike) McCoy of DeBary, brother-in-law, Lovett E. Williams and Thomas (Joyce) Williams. Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home is serving the family.
