Mrs. Ethel Blake Brown, 81, 210 Longwood Drive, Newport News, died Saturday in Riverside Hospital. Born in Gloucester County, she was a Peninsula resident for 20 years. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Gloucester.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frances Brown Kahle, with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Ordale Brown Dietrich of Tuckahoe, N.J., two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Smith and Mrs. Turner Owens, and two brothers, Rosser Blake and Odell Blake Sr., all of Gloucester, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted by the Rev. David Pouchot of the Union Baptist Church, Gloucester, at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Peninsula Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family is at the residence.
