Emigrated in 1 August 1891 from Usti, Vsetine, Moravia to Castle Garden, New York, New York on 10 October 1891, and then by ship to Galveston, Galveston County, Texas. Migrated by land to Williamson County, Texas area.

Jan & Marie Mazac had five of their sons die, before they emigrated from Moravia.
They settled in Granger, Corn Hill and Taylor areas, in Williamson County, Texas. Father of twenty (20) children. Hard working, honorable, Moravian Farmers. Everyone in the family worked, if you did not work then you did not eat unless you were sick, disabled, or elderly.
John helped build the St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger, Williamson County, Texas. Member of the SPJST.
