She married David Thomas Nelson and they had one son together. After he passed away, she then married Frederick Girdlestone Smith on May 14, 1937, in Cache, Utah. She died on May 30, 1957, in Logan, Utah, at the age of 79, and was buried in Provo, Utah. The headstone is Nelson.
