The son of John Ephraim Cook and Sarah Ann Lyon. Married Minnie Mae Robinson Jan 18 1891, the daughter of John T. and Parthina Roberts Robinson.

W. E. Cook Funeral Held at Sturgeon Baptist Church

Funeral services for Willard Ephraim Cook, 80, retired farmer who died December 20, at his home in Sturgeon were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Sturgeon Baptist Church. Services were conducted by the Rev. Ed Keiter of Jefferson City. Burial was in Centralia.

Surviving are Mrs. Cook, two sons, Harold Cook of Sturgeon, and Maurice Cook of Centralia. Three daughters, Mrs. J. A. Parks of Clark, Mrs. Ewin Ketchum of Centralia, and Mrs. Archie Johnson of Columbia. 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Among those out of town attending the funeral were Mrs. Eugene Smith of Kansas City, Mr. and Mrs. Junior Cook of St. Louis. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Nelson, Bobbie Johnson, Thelma Wescot, Mrs. Judson and family. Emmitt Rice, Mrs. Lillie Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cook and grandson, Mrs. Maggie Lou Snell, and family all of Columbia. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Alcorn of Perry. Mrs. Arthur Clark of Paris. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ketchum, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hines of Hannibal. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Manard of New Franklin. Mrs. Ruth Grimes of Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Fleming, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clay Robinson and son, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kellogg, Mrs. Luther Fugerson, Homer Holloway, Mrs. Melissa Belle, Mr. and Mrs. Mose Alexander, Mr. and Mrs. Odis Hendren, all of Moberly. W. E. Cook Dies

W. E. Cook died at his home her at 10:30 o'clock December 20, after an illness of ten weeks.

Mr. Cook was born November 26, 1871, on a farm near Columbia, to Mr. and Mrs. John E. Cook. On January 18, 1891, he was married to Miss Minnie Robinson, who survives. He was a farmer until the past few years, when he retired because of ill health.

Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, Maurice, of Centralia, and Harold, of near Sturgeon; three daughters, Mrs. J. A. Parks of Clark, Mrs. E. R. Ketchum of Centralia, and Mrs. Archie Johnson of Columbia. Three children preceded him in death. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Sturgeon Baptist church by Rev. E. Y. Keiter of Jefferson City. Burial was at Centralia cemetery. (Jock Parks Scrapbook)
