Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, J. Grant Houskeeper returned to his Father in Heaven August 14, 2007.

Born May 10, 1923, Orangeville, UT to William and Martha Burnett Houskeeper. Married Merilyn Oldham on November 11, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. She passed away November 3, 1984. They are the proud parents of seven children, Craig (Kayleen), Lynnette (Stephen) Anderson, Connie Houskeeper, J. Clark (Lorraine), Avery (Lori), John (Franci), Edith (Dustin) Trapier, 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Then married Naomi Dumas on May 2, 1987. He served in the US Army under General Patton. Retired from Hill Air Force Base after 32 years of service as a Ultrasonic Technician. Was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many different callings and had an unwavering testimony of the Savior. He and his wife Naomi served in the Mississippi Jackson Mission. Grant loved music and had perfect pitch. He taught himself to play many different instruments. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin with his family. Grant was a very devoted husband and father. He was truly an example of selfless service and love.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 11 AM at the Brighton 1st Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 2925 East Bengal Blvd (7800 South). Friends attended a Viewing on Friday, August 17, 2007 at the Cannon Mortuary located at 2460 East Bengal Blvd (7800 South) from 6-8 PM and the day of the Service at the Church from 10-10:45 AM
Graveside Services followed at Holladay Memorial Park in Holladay, Utah where he was buried.
