Ruth Keathley Howell
Ruth Keathley Howell, 90, of Hendersonville, N.C. went to be with the Lord and many of her loved ones on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the Elizabeth House following a brief illness.
She was born in Pikeville, KY, a daughter of the late John Keathley and Zettie Phillips Keathley and had been a resident of Henderson County for the past 54 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kyle E. Howell, who died in March of this year.
She retired from the Henderson County School Food Services. She was a member of West Hendersonville Baptist Church and also had many wonderful and dear friends at Valley Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, and wife; two daughters; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a special sister-in-law, and many wonderful nieces and nephews
She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and those who knew her.
A funeral will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, August 13, 2007 at the Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel with Dr. Robert J. Floyd and Rev. Tracey Fletcher officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the chapel on Monday from 11:00AM to service time.
