Ruth Bandy Jackson, 82, of Memphis, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke's United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born February 25, 1925, in Osceola, AR, to Charles Bandy and Ruth Bowen Bandy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 54 years, Leonard Roland Jackson.
A lifelong Methodist, Ruth was a member of Whitehaven Methodist Church for many years, and an active member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church for the past 46 years. She was a member of the Stewardship Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women. Ruth retired as a bookkeeper for the Travelers' Aid Society, a United Way Agency.
She leaves a daughter, Susan Dorian and her husband, Tom, of Germantown; and a son, Larry Jackson and his wife, Barbara, of Memphis; and five grandchildren.
She was a 1943 graduate of Whitehave High School.
